Arteta speaks out about his future at Arsenal ahead of the new season

Mikel Arteta insists there are no issues in the discussions over a new contract with Arsenal, and emphasizes his commitment to leading the Gunners for years to come.

Arteta's future is under close scrutiny as his current contract with Arsenal runs until the end of the season. However, the Spanish manager quickly moved to calm fans, stating that an extension is only a matter of time. “Fans don't need to worry about that, because I want to stay here. I'm truly happy and grateful to work with wonderful people. When the time comes, we'll sort everything out,”Arteta shared.

According to British media, neither Arsenal nor Arteta feels pressured to finalize a new deal quickly. Both sides trust their current relationship, and a long-term contract is likely to be signed soon, potentially making Arteta one of the highest-paid managers in the world.

Earlier, Arteta repeatedly stated that he wants to focus on professional goals rather than future speculation. After leading Arsenal to the Premier League title, the 44-year-old tactician's position has been further strengthened.

However, Arteta noted that the contract is not a top priority at the moment, as Arsenal is still busy finalizing the squad ahead of the new season. “There are always other priorities. We feel comfortable because the contract deadline won't be an issue. My desire is to stay here, and the club's feeling is exactly the same,”he said.

This summer, Arsenal has faced several difficulties in the transfer market, yet to finalize some major targets. The Gunners are still searching for an additional winger and a backup option for the right-back position.

Additionally, the London club needs to resolve the future of several players such as Gabriel Jesus, Reiss Nelson, and Fabio Vieira. Despite many tasks ahead, Arteta remains confident that Arsenal is on the right track and capable of competing across all fronts in the new season.
