Ciro Immobile, a forward who helped Italy claim the EURO 2020 title and became an icon at Lazio, has officially hung up his boots at 36 following a 17‑year professional career.

Paris FC confirmed that Ciro Immobile has decided to end his professional playing career. According to the French club, the 36‑year‑old striker wants to dedicate more time to his family after a 17‑year journey on the pitch.

Although the final months of his career were relatively quiet, Immobile still leaves the game with an impressive scoring record. He netted 306 goals in 599 club appearances across all competitions, along with 17 goals in 57 appearances for the Italian national team.

Immobile's biggest achievement with the Azzurri was winning EURO 2020. The 1990‑born striker scored two goals in the tournament and was part of Italy's run to the final at Wembley, where they defeated England on penalties in July 2021.

However, the place where Immobile truly built his iconic status was Lazio. Over eight seasons with the Rome‑based club, he scored 207 goals in 340 matches, becoming the greatest scorer in Lazio's history. He also won the Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana titles with the club.
