Khoa Ngo has officially moved to CLB Công an TP.HCM

Perth Glory has confirmed that winger Khoa Ngo has finalized his official move to CLB Công an TP.HCM.

The 20-year-old initially joined the prominent Vietnamese V-League 1 club on loan earlier this year, during which he made 14 appearances in the national league and the Vietnamese Cup.

Previously, Ngo had played 26 matches in the A-League for Perth Glory, following his debut for his hometown club in April 2024.

As the first player of Vietnamese origin to compete in the A-League, he previously played for Joondalup United and Perth RedStar at youth levels before joining the Perth Glory Academy in 2020.

Perth Glory's football director Stan Lazaridis sent his best wishes to Ngo, saying:

"Khoa has integrated very well at CLB Công an TP.HCM during his loan spell, and this is a great opportunity for him.

At this stage of his career, he needs regular playing time, and this permanent transfer will allow him to do that.

Khoa will always have a special connection with our club. We want to thank him for his contributions to Perth Glory and wish him the best of luck in the next chapter of his football journey."

Khoa Ngo was born on June 30, 2006, in Perth, Australia, to a family where both parents are Vietnamese. He stands about 1.65 meters tall, is left-footed, specializes as a left winger, and can also play on the right side.

Khoa Ngo was trained at Joondalup United and Perth RedStar before joining the Perth Glory academy in 2020. His performances in the youth ranks earned him a promotion to the first team at the end of the 2023/24 season. On April 21, 2024, Ngo made his A-League debut coming off the bench in a 3-4 loss to Western United. He became the first Vietnamese-origin player to appear in the A-League.

In June 2024, Perth Glory signed Khoa Ngo to a two-year scholarship contract. During the 2024/25 season, he made 18 A-League appearances, including six starts. In total, across his A-League career, Ngo has played 26 matches, started six times, scored one goal, and provided one assist.

A notable milestone came on January 2, 2026, when Khoa Ngo scored his first A-League goal for Perth Glory against Melbourne Victory. Just two days later, he moved to Công an TP.HCM on a loan deal until the end of the season. Perth Glory at the time explained that the move to Vietnam would give the young player more game time to accelerate his development.

On May 13, 2026, Khoa Ngo, along with goalkeeper Patrik Lê Giang, received Vietnamese citizenship at the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Justice.

After that, Khoa Ngô was called up to the Vietnam national team but soon had to leave due to injury.
