0The win against Da Nang in the rescheduled round 13 match enables CAHN to inch ever nearer to the title.
CAHN Club endured an extremely arduous match against the home team SHB Da Nang, in the postponed round 13 match of V.League 1 2025/26. However, Coach Polking and his players still achieved their goal: the full 3 points and created a 7-point gap with the chasing team behind them...
Both SHB Da Nang Club and CAHN Club were very eager for victory in this "top-bottom" showdown. The home team, though temporarily ranked bottom of the standings, has shown many positive signs in recent matches and aimed for a surprising performance against their opponent, striving to accumulate more valuable points. Conversely, the team at the top of the standings did not want to be held back, potentially falling into an unpredictable spiral.
And as experts predicted before the kick-off, the match at Chi Lang Stadium was very exciting and dramatic until the final minutes of added time. The Han River team played a tight, resilient first half, keeping their goal safe from CAHN Club's attacking pressure. The visiting CAHN team tried hard to organize attacks but lacked the sharpness to open the scoring. Everything built up and then exploded in the emotionally charged second half.
Coach Polking's players continued to press forward in the second half. But a similar scenario to the first half occurred as SHB Da Nang's multi-layered defense stood firm and successfully neutralized the pressure. However, the turning point of the match arrived at minute 61: Rogerio Alves surged forward face-to-face, goalkeeper Van Biu was forced to foul, accepting a penalty situation. At the nerve-wracking spot, Leo Artur made no mistake to open the scoring for CAHN Club.
After conceding the goal, the Han River team rose up strongly. The team temporarily ranked bottom of the standings became the one creating turmoil and at many moments seemed to "strangle" the top-ranked club CAHN. A series of opportunities were created but striker Lopez could not overcome goalkeeper Nguyen Filip. Preserving the 1-0 score, Coach Polking and his players further solidified their top position in the standings with a 7-point gap ahead of the relentless pursuit of The Cong Viettel Club (41 points compared to 34).
SHB Da Nang Club still could not gain more points to improve their temporary position on the standings. However, the Han River team is showing confidence and determination through each recent match. Returning to the upcoming round 17 of V.League 1 (April 4, 2026), CAHN Club and SHB Da Nang will meet again, in a match that will surely be "hotter" than ever...
